I don’t understand people that don’t take every opportunity presented to them to learn. I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a healthy desire for self-growth in the areas that I am passionate about.
Just about all of my skills are self-taught, this comes with it’s own set of interesting challenges and, of course, isn’t the most streamlined way to learn.
I have recently had the opportunity to pass on some knowledge that was at best, declined without care or consideration. This came as a surprise and left me, quite unexpectedly, feeling sorry for the individual. I found myself asking why you would not at least listen then make a decision after the event as to how helpful the information is.
I enjoy sharing and helping others to progress; I’m in no way perfect at it! Teaching is a highly developed skill that I do not currently possess.
I do struggle with people that simply think they know better. If someone is willing to take the time to pass on knowledge; do yourself a favour and be willing to consume it. It’s amazing what you may gain from it.
